Yellow Book (US Governmental) Based Audits
The Yellow Book provides a framework for performing high quality audit work by auditors of US government entities with competence, integrity, objectivity and independence. Auditors performing audits of US government entities, all entities that receive US government awards, and other entities, as required by law or regulation or as they elect may use these standards. It outlines the requirements for audit reports, professional qualifications for auditors, and audit organization quality control. Auditors of federal, state, and local government programs use these standards to perform their audits and produce their reports.
At A.G. Neequaye accounting services, our Senior Partner has extensive experience using this framework. From the beginning of his career in public accounting in 1996 up until his departure from the United States in 2011 the overwhelming majority of his clients have been local government entities requiring the use of Yellow Book standards. His clients have included Cities, Counties, Transit Districts, Housing Authorities, Redevelopment Agencies just to mention a sample of the type of government clients experience.
